Meal Plan 07/22/19 - 07/26/19

We just got home from a lovely long weekend away where a lot of potato chips and not a lot of vegetables were consumed. This week is going to be veg heavy is what I’m saying.

Monday: Farfalle with Zucchini and White Beans

Tuesday: Grilled Chicken Shawarma served with grilled onions and zucchini, fresh tomatoes and cucumber, and some sort of garlic dipping sauce.

Wednesday: Baked Salmon Cakes served with green salad.

Thursday: Leftovers (said in a sing-songy voice because there is nothing better than leftover night when I don’t have to put an ounce of effort into thinking about the food my family is going to put into their faceholes).

Friday: it’s Grady’s 8th Birthday (WUT?!) so he gets to choose what’s for dinner. If I had to guess, I’d say it will probably be pepperoni pizza from his favourite pizza place.

Meal Plan 07/14/2019 - 07/19/2019

It’s a HelloFresh week this week, thank goodness, because my inspiration and motivation are gone. It’s been a busy couple of weeks and I feel scattered and disorganized and discombobulated (like, more than usual). HelloFresh to the rescue. The only thinking I had to do was choose three meals out of ten options. I can do that. That is the level of participation I am looking for right now.

Monday: HelloFresh Fragrant Aloo Gobi with Cauliflower, Potato Curry and Cilantro for meatless Monday.

Tuesday: HelloFresh Lemon Chicken and Goat Cheese with Crisp Pear, Arugula, and Citrus Vinaigrette

Wednesday: Barbecued Cheeseburgers with a side of responsibility salad.

Thursday: HelloFresh Brown Sugar and BBQ Glazed Turkey Breast with Corn and Bell Pepper Hash.

Friday: out

Meal Plan 07/08/2019 - 07/12/2019

The weather network tells us we’re going to have a wet week, full of drizzle and a summer storm. I’m digging up some autumn recipes is what I’m saying.

Monday: Barbecued cheeseburgers served with kale salad.

Tuesday: Curried Lentil, Tomato, and Coconut Soup

Wednesday: Classic Beef Chili served with cornbread and green salad.

Thursday: leftovers or sushi depending on how the week goes.

Friday: Shawn’s playing an outdoor, all-ages gig so the kids and I will pack a picnic snacky dinner to eat while we enjoy the show.
