I broke my blog. I broke my blog and then I caught the cold-that-will-not-die and then Shawn caught it and then, of course, we were hit with the dreaded Toddler Man Cold. Fixing my broken blog swiftly fell to the bottom of my list of priorities is what I'm saying.
I think we're back up and running, though, so get ready for weeks' worth of ramblings and food pics. But first? We faff.

I love this by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's a Facebook post so I don't know if I'm linking up properly (technology is hard) (see above: broken blog) but I hope I am. It's long but worth the read. This really stood out for me:
"I don't volunteer to be brutalized. Again, I don't hate myself that much. Brutal honesty is no virtue. Honesty without kindness is not worth the price you pay for it. I can listen to honesty, but only when it comes from a whole-hearted person, who is not trying to draw blood."
